The managers who could replace Koeman at Barcelona

FC Barcelona are already lining up managers to replace Ronald Koeman should the Dutchman fail to deliver in the coming weeks.

Reports from Spain indicate that the former Netherlands national team head coach has been given four games to redeem himself and while admitting that he isnt under any pressure, Koeman knows that he might be out of the club's doors soon.

So should Koeman go, who are the potential candidates to replace him at Camp Nou?

  • Patrick Kluivert

Kluivert's name has appeared in tabloids in recent weeks but his appointment would be a strange one if it was to happen.

The Dutchman knows the club well having played for the Blaugrana from 1998 to 2004, and having been the director of the La Masia academy over the last two seasons. However, having only managed Curacao for a season, he might be the last considered option on the list.

  • Roberto Martinez

Currently, with the Belgium national team, Martinez has never hidden his desire to return to club football.
He has been linked with moves in Spain before but no deal has even materialized. Having grown up in Catalonia, there is a feeling that he understands the culture of Barcelona but managing a team of that magnitude won't come easy with the club in need of someone who will guarantee them success.

  • Xavi

The club legend has been linked with a return before but thought he was still not ready to lead the Laliga giants.

He was instrumental in Barcelona's most successful period ever, forming a superb relationship with Andres Iniesta and Sergio Busquets as they won three Champions League titles in six seasons. But having only managed Qatari side Al-Sadd, he may not want to ruin his god-like reputation at Barcelona

  • Antonio Conte

Having left Inter Milan in the summer, the Italian has a reputation of not staying long at clubs. His success rate at his previous stations is something that every club would want having won a league title at each of his last three clubs (Chelsea, Inter Milan, and Juventus).
