Former Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paulinho has left Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli after just four matches with the club.
Al Ahli reached an agreement to terminate Paulinho's contract on mutual consent due to emergency circumstances. The Brazilian signed for the Saudi Arabian club on the 22nd of July and now becomes a free agent after making just three appearances.
"The termination of the contract with 'Paulinho' comes due [to] emergency circumstances, he spoke with the club's management recently, which was reflected in his performance on the field during the past rounds, expressing his inability to provide the desired addition to the team," a statement from the club read.
The midfielder’s future is now unclear having spent the majority of the last six years of his career at Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande.
