Blow for Chelsea as Kante is ruled out with illness

Chelsea has received a blow in their upcoming games with news that midfielder N'golo Kante is set to be on the sidelines with illness.

Reports indicate that the French midfielder will sit out of the club's next two games against Juventus in the Champions League and Southampton in the Premier League because he is unwell.

The move will be a dent for the player who only recently returned from a groin injury and scored in the recent 3-0 win away at Tottenham.

The player was substituted in the second half of Saturday’s defeat to Manchester City and it has emerged that he didn't feel okay in the game.

Kante's absence might be a blessing for Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who came off the bench to replace the Frenchman against City; the English midfielder having struggled to cement a place in the team in the past seasons.

The illness is expected to be confirmed by manager Thomas Tuchel who is set to address the press later in the day ahead of their tie against Juventus.
