Tottenham yet to engage keeper Lloris on new contract talks

Tottenham Hotspur captain Hugo Lloris has revealed that the club is yet to offer him a new deal.

The Frenchman's current deal with the North London side expires in the summer and will be a free agent next season should Spurs fail to offer him a new contract.

Speaking in an interview with Standard Sport, Lloris said he was yet to receive any offer from the club but his focus remains on winning his first trophy with the club.

"There’s nothing from the club (about a contract). It’s not a problem, I’m totally focused. We’ll see later about (that0 but there’s no issue at all. We know each other very well,” the goalkeeper said.

The World Cup winner joined the club nine years ago and has been an integral part of the club’s journey under Andre-Villas Boas, Tim Sherwood, Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho, Ryan Mason, and now, Nuno Espirito Santo.

Lloris has remained as Spurs’ constant first-choice goalkeeper between the posts despite the managerial changes at the club with the 34-year-old amassing 379 appearances for the club.
