Europa League: Legia Warsaw shock Leicester City as Spartak Moscow stun Napoli

Leicester City had a night to forget after suffering a 1-0 loss to Legia Warsaw in their second Europa League group stage match.

Legia scored the opener in the 31st minute after flashing warning signs. Amartey had to be stronger, with Emreli muscling him off the ball far too easily, and in a dangerous area just inside the box.

He then took a few touches before rifling the ball into the back of the net via the post, leaving Schmeichel rooted to the spot.

In the second half, Leicester were chasing for an equalizer, worked out the ball but Legia stood firm. Five minutes to stoppage time, Leicester went close as Castagne burst into the Legia box on the right and his cut-back fell to Maddison. His miskicked effort was heading towards goal but a white-shirted defender hacked it away from inside the six-yard box.

Ten minutes to stoppage time, Mikhail Ignatov handed the visitors the lead after beating Napoli's keeper.

Two minutes later, Moscow were also reduced to ten men after Maximiliano Caufriez was shown the second yellow card.

Quincy Promes put the last nail to Napoli's coffin, grabbing the third in the 91st minute.

Napoli were refusing to go down as  Victor Osimhen reduced the defeat for the hosts but it was too late.
