Tottenham bounced back in style as they registered a 4-1 victory over NS Mura in their second group stage game of the Europa League Conference.
Spurs had an electric start to the game and were awarded a penalty inside three minutes of play. Lo Celso played the ball up to Scarlett on the edge of the area. His touch diverted the ball to Alli, who was cleaned out by Obradovic in the Mura goal and Spurs had their penalty.
Alli stepped up to take it and fired the ball low to the goalkeeper's right to give Spurs the perfect start.
Five minutes later, Spurs doubled their lead, Giovani Lo Celso picked up the ball on the edge of the area and drove at the Mura defense. It was a tight angle but Celso beat Obradovic with power, firing a stunning left-footed drive into the far top corner.
At the start of the second half. Mura reduced the defeat and it was a well-taken goal. The corner was cleared as far as Ziga Kous on the edge of the area, and he unleashed a stunning volley that flashed past the stationary Gollini in the Spurs goal and sent the handful of Mura supporters wild.
In the 68th minute, normal service was resumed for Tottenham as Harry Kane restored their two-goal lead. Two of Spurs' three substitutes combined as Moura threaded an inch-perfect pass through the defense which Kane latched onto before producing an unerring finish past the goalkeeper.
Harry Kane grabbed his second as Spurs turned on the style late on. It was the old Son-Kane double act once again as Son stroke down the left flank, hurdled a tackle, and then squared for Kane, who simply could not miss from six yards.
Kane completed his hat-trick, having been on the field for less than an hour. It's a near carbon copy of his first goal, only this time Lo Celso was the player to slot Kane through on goal. There was no one within three yards of Kane and he had all the time in the world to swivel and fire in his third goal.
Spurs are now at the top of Group A with six points, the same as Rennes who have beaten Vitesse 2-1 in the other match.
