‘Leaving Spurs was my biggest career mistake’ says former star

Ex-Brazilian star Sandro believes he made the “biggest mistake of his career” by leaving Tottenham Hotspur for Queens Park Rangers back in 2014.

Sandro had established himself as one of the most talented Premier League star midfielders in north London but ended up joining a QPR side that eventually got relegated.

“The biggest mistake of my career was leaving Tottenham,” Sandro said via Goal.

“I had two years left on my contract (at Tottenham). I loved everybody. In this situation, I made a bad decision because I didn’t think about the move. I just said: ‘I want to go. I want to move.’ I didn’t think about it.

“When I moved to QPR, I was feeling a little bit angry. You can’t make a decision when you’re angry with something. You have to let it go, think, and be very calm to make a big decision,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, the 32-year-old is now playing his football for Belenenses in Portugal.
