Barcelona vice-president Rafa Yuste believes the Catalan giants will be ready to declare that Ansu Fati and Pedri have both agreed to new long-term contracts with the club "soon."
Fati, who has recently returned from a long-term knee ailment, has a contract at Camp Nou that runs until next June, but the LaLiga giants have the option to extend it until the summer of 2024.
Pedri, however, is on a similar term to Fati, but the two youngsters are now in talks with Barcelona about possible new contracts.
When asked how the negotiations were going by Mundo Deportivo, Yuste said that the club was "moderately optimistic" of being able to sign the duo to fresh deals.
"With Pedri, you can be moderately optimistic and with Ansu too. Hopefully, we can announce the two renewals soon," said Yuste.
Fati, who is 18 years old, has 14 goals and five assists in 46 games for Barcelona, while Pedri, who is also 18, has four goals and six assists in 56 appearances.
