Manchester City wants to bring in keeper Ter Stegen from Laliga giants FC Barcelona.
There are reports that manager Ronald Koeman has not been pleased with the German display and is willing to listen to offers for the keeper who has previously been linked with a move away from the club.
El Nacional has reported interest from Manchester City for him if Barcelona put him on the market but the English side will only be interested in ter Stegen if Barça ends up listing him as transferable, and will not enter a bidding war.
Ter Stegen has been far from his best but is still the club's first-choice keeper Barcelona since his understudy Neto has proven to be underwhelming on each occasion he has been called up to represent the team while the likes of Inaki Pena and Arnau Tenas are considered too inexperienced to be given the nod.
There had been reports that Barca are interested in bringing Ajax keeper Andre Onana back to the club to address their shortcomings in the goalkeeping department but with Inter Milan having tabled a more lucrative offer for the Cameroonian, that deal is as good as off.
The Blaugranas believe that ter Stegen could fetch them an amount upwards of €60 million, with several top clubs interested in his services.
