Laliga giants FC Barcelona want to finalize on Ansu Fati's new contract before they take on Valencia this weekend.
According to Mundo Deportivo, talks to extend the youngster's current deal has gone well with the cub convinced that they can finalize on the finer details before this weekend and make an announcement on the same.
The reports say that the deal should be announced on Sunday at the Ordinary General Assembly, when various issues, such as club accounts, will need to be ratified, per Barcelona’s official website.
After that assembly, attention for the club will be on the Valencia game on the same day as they aim to beat the team in their aim to keep up with the leading pack in the league.
The week concludes with a Clasico fixture against Real Madrid, which comes in between a must-win Champions League match against Dynamo Kyiv.
The outcome of those three matches could determine the fate of coach Ronald Koeman who is under intense pressure to perform.
