Italian giants AC Milan are planning a pre-contract offer for Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard.
Lingard wants to be assured of his place in the United team before committing to a new deal with his current contract set to expire in the summer; the player not falling short of suitors.
While it was believed that he would re-join West Ham earlier in the season, Lingard stayed at United to fight for his place and while he has received little game time, he wants to play regularly so that he can secure his place in the England team for the 2022 Wolrd Cup.
Of the teams interested in the player, AC Milan are preparing a pre-contract deal which they will submit in January according to reports from Daily Mail who claims that Barcelona are interested in the player too.
Milan were interested in the player earlier in this season but he chose to move to West Ham on a six months loan deal where he helped them to European qualification.
The player has made just one start this season against West Ham in the Carabao Cup – and has spent more time on the pitch for his country than he has for his club.
