Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has confirmed he will be without Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner as Norwich City visit West London this weekend.
The German manager revealed the news during a press conference on Friday afternoon and a few days after the 4-0 win over Malmo in the UEFA Champions League. The same game was where Lukaku suffered a muscle injury.
"His body didn't demand a break, it was not a muscle injury so I don't understand that. It is just some percentage, please don't underestimate the effort these players go through," Tuchel said.
The former PSG manager also confirmed injuries to Cristian Pulisic and Timo Werner.
"To make the question a longer one, how is Pulisic too? They are all out tomorrow and probably the Southampton game and then we will see.
Tuchel said the players will also miss in the Carabao Cup next Tuesday but positive feelings are not lost.
"What I can tell you for sure is they are both in treatment, positive and not worried but out of the next two games for sure.
"I don't think it makes sense to go into speculation about how long [the players will be sidelined for] because you never know. Things can be shorter than expected or longer than expected.
"Both are feeling positive and not too worried," he concluded.
