League leaders KCCA settled for a 1-1 draw with Bright Stars in an Uganda Premier League match staged at Kavumba Recreation Ground.
KCCA's 100% start to the current campaign was slowed down as they dropped the first points of the season following a 1-1 draw with hosts Bright Stars.
The Kasasiro Boys found themselves trailing in the 51st minute following Nelson Ssenkatuka's striker that saw Benjamin Ochan beaten.
It took KCCA 11 minutes to restore parity through Ashraf Mugume, who scored from a freekick to give the visitors a chance of claiming a point.
Police 1-2 Express
Defending champions Express FC picked their second win of the season following a 2-1 victory over Police at MTN Omondi Stadium.
The visitors took the lead in the 13th minute through Deus Bukenya who scored a beauty from a freekick. The hosts responded through Juma Balinya who grabbed the leveler in the 32nd minute.
George Senkaaba ensured Express head back with maximum points as he scored the winner in the stoppage time.
Vipers 1-0 Onduparaka
At St Mary's Stadium, Vipers registered a 1-0 victory against Onduparaka thanks to captain Halid Lwaliwa's first-half strike. After seeing much of the ball in the opening minutes, Vipers took the lead just before halftime as Lwaliwa headed home from close range.
In the 76th minute, Vipers went closer to making it 2-0 from a freekick. It was well taken by Paul Mucerrez but Onduparaka shot-stopper Michael Kagiri made a brilliant save and the ball was cleared away.

KCCA are currently at the top of the table with 13 points, three above second-placed Vipers who have a game in hand. BUL and Arua Hill are third and fourth with 9 and 7 points respectively.
