Former Dutch international Giovanni van Bronckhorst is close to replacing Steven Gerrard at Scottish giants Rangers FC.
Rangers had been forced to dive into the market for a new manager after Gerrard left them to join Premier League side Aston Villa last week.
Sky Sports says a decision has been made to appoint van Bronckhorst as Gerrard's successor with the Dutchman set to return to his former stomping ground after spending three seasons as a player at Ibrox before going on to succeed with Arsenal and Barcelona.
