Diogo Dalot has agreed to join Serie A giants AS Roma in January as he seeks more playing time ahead of a potential appearance for Portugal in the 2022 World Cup.
The right-back was to leave Man United in the summer but the club refused to let him go as they didn't have a proper back for Aaron wan Bissaka. It is claimed that United's stand for the player with Roma has been the same since despite the Italian side coming back for Dalot.
According to Calciomercato.com, Dalot has already agreed to a move to Roma in January and believes the experience he had with AC Milan last season will help him adapt to his new environment.
The reports indicate that the player would the Giallorossi on loan with the option to buy at €15 million, however, Roma is still waiting on United who is stalling the deal.
United would only allow the player to leave if they can find another right back with Atletico Madrid's Kieran Trippier topping their wishlist.
Should they fail to get Dalot, the Jose Mourinho side has cast their eyes on other options including Sampdoria's Bereszyński.
