The father of Arsenal and Egypt footballer Mohammed Elneny has a dream to see the midfielder end his career for Africa’s greatest club Al Ahly.
While the midfielder increasingly looks likely to take the exit gate out of Arsenal, and as early as January, his dad has claimed Mikel Arteta wants the 29-year-old to stay in London until the end of the season.
Additionally, the father wishes Elneny to sooner or later conclude his career at local giants Al Ahly in their home nation of Egypt.
"Arteta wants Mohamed to stay. He might need him in the coming period so he will remain until the end of the season," Elneny senior told Shams TV, as quoted by Kingfut.
"I hope that he will end his career at Al Ahly,” the dad said.
Meanwhile, Arteta latest comments about Elneny last weekend went something like this:
"Again, I am really happy with Mo. I won't be individually discussing other players, and it's not time to do so,” Arteta said via the club’s website.
Up next for the Gunners is the visit of Newcastle United at the Emirates this weekend.
