Manchester United has added six players to their Champions League squad ahead of their last group game against Young Boys on Wednesday.
The English giants have added defender Bjorn Hardley, midfielders Charlie Savage, Charlie Wellens, Sam Mather, and Zidane Iqbal, as well as forward Shola Shoretire to their European squad.
The club's U19 team has already qualified for the knockout stage of the Uefa Youth League, so rawer talents could start against Young Boys at Leigh Sports Village this afternoon.
Of the new names, 17-year-old Shoretire is the player to have tasted first-team football at Old Trafford when he was handed his debut against Newcastle in February and became United's youngest ever debutant in European competition when he came on in the goalless Europa League draw with Real Sociedad four days later.
Dutchman Hardley, 18, has trained with the first-team this season and 19-year-old Wellens, whose father Richie played once for the United first-team in 1999, was called up to first-team training in September 2019.
Savage, 18, is the son of a United academy graduate and former Leicester and Wales international, Robbie, and Salford-born Mather, 17, turned professional earlier this year. Iqbal, 18, inked his first professional contract at United in April with some of the faces expected to be given a chance in the Young Boys game.
Already coach Ralf Rangnick confirmed that Nemanja Matic will captain the team with Dean Henderson and Donny van de Beek set for a start.
