Breaking: Sundowns announce signing Ralani

The best team keeps signing the best footballers in the land. DStv champions Mamelodi Sundowns have signed Surprise Ralani from Cape Town City.

The club known as Kabo Yellow made the announcement on Tuesday afternoon as the league continues a five-week break that includes Christmas, New Year's and AFCON 2022.

"There's a new Brazilian in town! Welcome our newest addition, Surprise Ralani!" the club announced on social media.

So why Ralani? In addition to the 34-year-old winger's two goals and three assists in 18 games this season, Ralani's fine dribbling and tactical intelligence is what Sundowns' attacks are largely all about.

The Kimberley-born star, who graduated from Farook Khan's Stars of Africa Academy, joins only his second PSL club after Cape Town City. His profile includes nine years in Sweden and Denmark with the likes of Lyngby BK, Helsingborgs IF, Landskrona BoIS, Landskrona, IFK Hässleholm and IFK Hässleholm.
