Notwithstanding Philippe Coutinho's loan move to Aston Villa, Barcelona are apparently yet to register new signing Ferran Torres with La Liga.
Torres joined the Catalan powerhouse from Manchester City in January but is still unable to play for the club due to his lack of registration, and according to reports, Coutinho's move to Villa might free up enough money for Xavi's side to ensure Torres' place in the first-team squad.
However, Marca reports that Barcelona still need to sell more players before Torres can make his Barcelona debut.
The Spain international is still rehabilitating from a foot injury suffered during his stint at Manchester City, and he also tested positive for COVID-19 recently.
Luuk de Jong, Yusuf Demir, and Samuel Umtiti, all on loan from Barcelona, are thought to be among players who could depart the club before the end of the winter transfer window.
