Aston Villa have confirmed the signing of Lucas Digne from Everton for £25m.
The defender becomes the second player to join the Steven Gerrard-led team, following the arrival of Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona.
The club confirmed the capture of the 28-year-old on Thursday morning;

Speaking after signing under the dotted line, Digne revealed playing under Gerrard was one of the main reasons he ditched the Merseyside club.
“It was the main factor. I came here for the manager,” he said.
“I had a very good meeting with him and we spoke a couple of times during this month. I feel his desire to win, to show his football as a manager – the attacking football, the possession.
Digne arrived at Everton in 2018 from Spanish giants Barcelona.
