Rooney disagrees with Ronaldo’s Man United expectation

Who is unrealistic between Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo. The former has opposed Ronaldo’s expectation of where Manchester United should finish at the end of the season.

The reaction from Rooney has followed after Ronaldo revealed to the media he expects the Red Devils to finish in the top three, despite a poor start.

Rooney has said nope, that is not United’s standards.

"Manchester United have to be a top-one team, not top-three," Rooney said at his press conference, as per Daily Mail.

"That's the demands which the fans put on you, the demands that the club has.

"Of course, they're going through a difficult period but, make no mistake, that's a club that has to be winning championships. It has to be winning trophies and that's the pressure with coming and playing or working for Manchester United.

"That's the level they need to be back to. I'm sure they'll do the right things to get them back to that place,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, United will now take on Brentford on Wednesday night in a league game.
