🔴 Rangnick sharply explains why Sancho is struggling

This sounds rather concerning. Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick has revealed what is challenging Jadon Sancho at the club.

The German coach has simply concluded that the England international is battling to live with the weight of joining the club on the £73million marquee deal from Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho has only delivered two goals in 23 games.

“It's a different league and he is playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world. It's also got to do with a lot of the things up here in his head,” said Rangnick via the club’s media.

With wonderful insight, the former RB Leipzig coach added to explain how Sancho's career stage is also a different ball game to what it was when he arrived in Germany.

“It’s a difference if you come as an 18-year-old, unknown, a talented English boy to Borussia Dortmund. From then on, you can only improve; you can only make a success out of that.

“The level of expectation was a lot lower compared to the situation when, at the age of 21, you come to a club like Manchester United for a high transfer fee, with a high level of expectation.

“Everybody expected from him that he would be one of the best players in the team. Again, this is psychologically, emotionally a more challenging situation than the one he had at Borussia Dortmund, and these are exactly the kind of steps that he has to make to become a top player for the next 10 years for this club," Rangnick concluded.

In the meantime, the Red Devils are now preparing to take on David Moyes' feisty West Ham United at Old Trafford this weekend.
