It’s tough managing icons. Just ask Juventus’ former managers and Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain.
Manchester United’s former star and leading pundit Owen Hargreaves has suggested Ralf Rangnick will not substitute Cristiano Ronaldo again after the drama against Brentford last week.
As Futaa reported, Ronaldo went berserk after he was taken off around the 70th minute for Harry Maguire.
"I don't think Ralf will be taking Cristiano off again any time soon," Hargreaves told Optus Sport.
"Ronnie let him know, 'Just keep me on, I'm fit, I'm probably the greatest athlete at 36 years old in the world'. He doesn't want to be taken off.
"Rangnick has to be careful, because he has dropped the club captain Harry Maguire, Ronnie is on his side but he was frustrated that he came off, there is no need to take him off.
"You want to keep Cristiano on side if you can,” the former England international concluded.
Meanwhile, United are now looking ahead to Middlesbrough in the FA Cup fourth round next Friday.
