Europa Conference League play-offs: Leicester cruise, Celtic stunned in Glasgow

Leicester City took a major step towards booking their place in the next round of the Europa Conference League with a comfortable 4-1 win over Randers FC on Thursday night.

The Foxes were on a five-game winless run but quickly got off the mark after 23 minutes with a well-taken Wilfried Ndidi goal, which set them on the path to victory.

Despite Leicester dominating possession and showing their superiority, they could not find a way past Patrik Carlgren, who made a series of saves to keep his team in the game.

Their resistance finally paid off as Vito Hammershøj-Mistrati pounced on a lapse to level moments before half-time.

The hosts however regained their lead four minutes into the second period through Harvey Barnes, before Patson Daka made it 3-1 in the 54th minute.

Kieman Dewsbury-Hall then sealed the win 15 minutes from time with a cool finish.

In another match, Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt got the result of the night with a deserved 3-1 win away at Celtic

It took the visitors from the Arctic Circle just seven minutes to take the lead through Runar Espejord and extended their advantage shortly after the break when Amahl Pellegrino showed good composure from close range.

Daizen Maeda halved the deficit for the Glasgow-based side in the 79th minute, but Hugo Vetlesen struck two minutes later to restore their two-goal advantage and leave the Norwegian side in control.
