'What we wanted didn't happen', PSG director on Ramos' transfer

Paris Saint-Germain director Leonardo admits bringing Sergio Ramos to the Ligue 1 giants was a 'mistake'.

Ramos has only managed five first-team appearances for PSG, making only three starts with his arrival in France hampered with injuries. Leonardo has accepted full responsibility but the French club is considering terminating the defender's contract at the end of the season.

"When we signed him, Ramos was physically fine. Unfortunately, what we wanted didn't happen. But wait - the season is not over," he said.

"The day we say he can no longer play, it will be clear to everyone. That's not the case".

The 35-year-old joined PSG on a free transfer from Real Madrid, signing a two-year contract last summer.
