Brazil interested in hiring Pep Guardiola as next manager after 2022 World Cup

Brazil have reportedly set their sights on Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola to take over the managerial role after the 2022 World Cup.

The Selecao are confident of snapping up the Spaniard, with initial talks with Pere Guardiola, pep's brother and representative, initiated.

Current Brazil boss, Tite, revealed he is set to step down from his role after the World Cup event in the Arab nation.

“I’m going until the end of the World Cup,” Tite told SporTV. “I have no reason to lie here. I don’t want to win any way. I’ve won everything in my career, the only thing missing is the World Cup.”

Guardiola's contract at the Manchester club runs until 2023 and is yet to commit.

He has in the past admitted his next assignment could be with a national team, and Brazil could be an attractive prospect.
