Former Premier League side Sunderland gained promotion to the English Championship following their 2-0 win over Wycombe in Wembley on Saturday.
Goals from Elliot Embleton and Ross Stewart did the magic for Sunderland who have been in the League for the past four seasons.
1 - Since Alex Neil took charge of his first Sunderland match, the Black Cats have lost just one of their 18 matches, whilst the Scotsman has achieved promotion via the play-offs for the third time during his managerial career (also Hamilton in 13-14 & Norwich in 14-15). Embleton gave them a 12th-minute lead after blasting his effort from outside the area before Stewart's 26th goal of the season - his fifth against Wycombe - gave Sunderland a cushion with 11 minutes to go; the Black Cats now joining Wigan and Rotherham in the English second tier next season.
