Injured Omolo misses out for Beerschot

Injured Omolo misses out for Beerschot

02 Oct 2011, 13:39
Johanna Omolo will once again miss out for Beerschot AC when they host Club Brugge in a Belgian Pro League encounter on Sunday 2 October 2011.

Harambee Stars midfielder Omolo, has had dog's luck in as far as injuries are concerned, failing to shrug off a persistent hip injury that had ruined his early season progress.

The midfielder had featured in three of four of Beerschot's season opening games before injury struck. He has again fallen out of consideration for the visit of Brugge as he is not fit enough to make the starting squad.

Brugge will arrive in Antwerp on a high, after winning their last six games in all competitions, including the last three in a row in the Pro- league, meaning the home side will be up for a tight match.

Many absentees

Beerschot have been hit by several setbacks on the injury front, with the preliminary selection having only 19 names, as said by the club's official website.

-Argentine midfielder Hernan Losada is suspended following his red card in Anderlecht a week ago. Johanna Omolo and Kristof Maes are slightly injured.

-Diowo Trésor may soon make his comeback to the reserves. The reserves match against Club Brugge took up Conor Laere Bergh, Sive Phekezela, Lindani Ntamo, so they will not play. Rodrigo Rojas is still injured.

Beerschot AC team Vs Club Brugge:

Pacovski, Stijnen, Fjoluson, Kagel Macher, Malul, Mikulic, Van der Heyden, Wuytens, Angeli, De Decker, Delic, Goor, Nyoni, Porokara, Custovic, Dayan, Francois, MacDonald, Sidibe.
