Kenyan international midfielder Johanna Omolo returned to training with Belgian top flight club side Beerschot AC on Monday 3 October 2011.
Omolo, overlooked by national team Harambee Stars for the recent AFCON qualifiers with Angola, Guinea Bissau and the upcoming one with Uganda has been sidelined for the last couple of weeks with several niggling injuries.
He has however got back to fitness after missing the 1-1 draw with Club Brugge on Sunday 2 October with what the club described as a slight injury and took part in training where the full group of players took part, except for those on international duty.
Omolo has not played in any of the last four Beerschot matches.
Last gasp goal
Beerschot sauntered to another draw in the Belgian Pro League after scoring a last gasp goal to earn a 1-1 draw at home to Club Brugge.
Joseph Akpala had given the second placed team in Belgium the lead after 72 minutes, but Beerschot, backed by a veracious home support clawed back into the game in injury time, Zimbabwean striker Vusumuzi Nyoni scoring the equaliser.
The draw leaves them in ninth place on the table with ten points from nine attempts. Omolo will hopefully be fully fit for their next match, will be after the international break away at bottom side Sint Truidden on Saturday 15 October 2011.
