Kenyan International Mcdonald Mariga clocked his first 90 minutes as his team Parma registered a 2-1 win over Cagliari in a Coppa Italia round of 16 match played on Wednesday 14 January.

This was Mariga's first start for Parma since his move from Inter Milan and he went on to clock 90 minutes, bringing his total minutes for Param in competitive matches, in all competitions, to 126 in the 2014/2015 season.

2-1 win

Parma took the lead at the stroke of half time through Gabriel Paletta, a lead they maintained till the 69th minute when Marco Sau leveled for Cagliari. Parma, who have had a bad first half of the season and are currently second bottom in the league standings, were not ready for a bad run in the cup competition and got the winner with six minutes to the final whistle through Andrea Rispoli.

The win saw Parma book a spot in the cup quarters.
