Justin Shonga scored a late goal to help Orlando Pirates to advance to the final of the 2018/19 Telkom Knockout Challenge Cup following a two one win over bitter rivals Kaizer Chiefs.
Kaizer Chiefs were the first to threaten after left-back Godfrey Walusimbi nearly caught Bucs goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane off guard after just seven minutes with a teasing cross from the left.
However it was Pirates who took the lead after Thembikosi Lorch first time side-footed shot into the top corner following a defence-splitting pass from Vincent Pule, Thirteen minutes into the match.
Former Mamelodi Sundowns Leornado Castro cut shot the sea robbers lead as he got on the end of a long searching ball shielding off Happy Jere to finish off from close range.
Xolani Mlambo could have put the sea robbers back in the lead but his effort clipped the top side of the cross bar. Justin Shonga arrived seconds late to miss Pule's square pass which only needed the slightest of touches.
Second half substitute Augustine Mulenga found Shonga in the earlier with a pin point cross who beat Khune with a low cross after a failed acrobatic effort six minutes to time to seal the buccaneers victory.
