PSG boss in fear over Neymar’s injury
Thomas Tuchel has revealed that he fears Neymar’s injury could be the same as the one he suffered last time out.
The PSG boss does not expect the Brazillian captain to be ready for the next Strasbourg challenge after Bordeaux managed to hold them to a 2-2 draw. Neymar was withdrawn in the 57th minute after scoring the opening goal. He was also denied a somewhat clear penalty.
“I think that it is the same injury as last time -- we will see. I do not think that Neymar will be there for Strasbourg, but I hope to have him back for Montpellier. I have not seen Neymar yet. However, everybody agreed -- him, the fitness staff and the physiotherapists -- that there was no risk in him playing. I thought that he had recovered from his last injury.” Tuchel said.
Neymar, Angel Di Maria and Juan Bernat are the other stars that limped off as the Ligue 1 leaders dropped the points because of the draw but Thiago Silva says there is no need to worry too much.
"I did not see Neymar when I left the pitch, but it is normal that he was a little worried. He will take some tests on Monday. He is in a bit of pain but as long as we are not sure what is up, there is no point in worrying too much." Silva said.
