Ghana FA Chairman Dr. Amoah confirms Premier League players will be paid directly

11 Jan 2019, 12:20

With the Ghana Premier Special Competition set to get away in the midst of payment controversy and boycott threats, the FA’s chairman Dr. Kofi Amoah has shared a payment plan that will apparently please all relevant parties.

The FA held a meeting with various club representatives to address several complaints that emerged earlier this week.

“We’ve listened to the players and all the concerns they raised about their salaries and issues relating to it," Dr. Amoah told Asempa FM.

Amaoh stressed that players are essential the main stakeholders of the game.

"The players are the main actors of the game and we must do things to demonstrate that the players deserve what they must get. What is due to the clubs will go to them and what is due to the players will go to them. The game is for the players,” he added.

''The player is important and the clubs themselves even agree. Revelations from our meeting with the players was very revealing and we must focus on player-club relationship,” Amoah concluded.

Fixtures for the Special Competition are set to be confirmed in due course.
