Coton Sport coach not fazed by Kotoko
The head coach of Coton Sport Ebwelle Ndingue has expressed notable confidence in beating Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko when the two sides clash in the CAF Confederation Cup this weekend.
The two African powerhouses have a first leg meeting in Garoua this weekend, with a Group stage place at stake.
While the Ghanaians have made it to the via the easier path of the preliminary round, the Cameroonians have dropped down from the superior competition of the CAF Champions League, and the side’s coach Ndingue was happy to make that reminder.
"Initially we played against Ismaily in the Caf Champions League and lost and now have to play Asante Kotoko. They are a good side and a big team in Africa but I think we are ready for them," Ndingue told Hello FM.
"We have quality players to do the job here before the second leg in Kumasi so we are preparing well to eliminate them. To play in the Confederation Cup is a good opportunity for us so I'm concentrating more on my players than Kotoko because that will give us victory."
The 56-year-old former Indomitable Lions international further indicated that Les Cotonniers will come out with much attacking gusto.
"We will have to score as many goals as possible and try to prevent them from getting an away goal," he concluded.
