UEFA open disciplinary proceedings against Chelsea
UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against Premier League side Chelsea over allegations of racist chanting during their Europa League encounter against MOL Vidi on December 13th 2018.
In a game where Chelsea settled for a 2-2 draw the Hungarian side, it was alleged a number of the Blues' fans sang a derogatory song about Tottenham featuring anti-Semitic language. "The report submitted by the UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector commissioned to conduct an investigation", the governing body confirmed on Tuesday morning.
Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck condemned the actions of "a few mindless individuals at some of our recent matches" and added the club "will not rest until we have eliminated all forms of discrimination from our club".
