Cole set for a reunion with Frank Lampard?

18 Jan 2019, 10:45

Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard could be once again reunited with reports Derby County is in talks to land the left-back.

Cole is currently a free agent after being released by Major League Soccer side Los Angeles in November last year. Lampard is chasing promotion to English topflight and he wants the former Arsenal man to provide defensive cover for Derby. The two played together at Chelsea for eight years from 2006 and Lampard wants his ex-teammate to join him on loan until the end of the season.

The 38-year-old, who won 107 England caps, helped Chelsea win the Premier League title in 2010 and the 2012 Champions League. He has also won four FA Cups while with the Blues to add to the three he secured with Arsenal, as well as the 2007 League Cup and the Europa League in 2013.
