Liverpool ace close to signing five year contract extension
Liverpool is close to handing Trent Alexander-Arnold a new five-year deal which will keep the defender until 2024.
According to reports, the Reds are in advanced talks and a new contract should be announced in the coming days. It will reflect the 20-year-old's remarkable progress since his last contract in 2017. The league leaders are keen to tie down yet another superstar after Andrew Robertson signed a new five-year deal last week.
Alexander-Arnold is set to be on the sidelines for at least two weeks with a knee injury he suffered in the warm-up before Saturday's 1-0 win over Brighton. He is set to miss Crystal Palace and Leicester City clashes however he doesn't require surgery.
