Chelsea provide transfer update on Eden Hazard amid Real Madrid links
The Belgian forward has not shied off from expressing his desire to join reigning European Champions Real Madrid after flirting with them on a number of occasions. Hazard has been on form this season having bagged 16 league goals so far which is the joint best tally since joining Chelsea back in 2012 from French outfit Lille. The 28-year-old will be hoping to be on the scoresheet when they take on Slavia Prague in the UEFA Europa League second leg quarterfinals on Thursday 18th April.
Speaking ahead of the Prague clash, Zola hoped that Hazard will still be a Chelsea player next season, "Of course we hope that Hazard will stay with us because he’s such an important player for us. There’s a lot of talking around this team, I realise that. But we as coaches have to make sure we are not distracted by all of that. We need to maintain focus, because this year a lot of times I heard talk that it’s been a bad season."
