Roy Hodgson praises his Arsenal counterpart ahead of Sunday clash

Crystal Palace coach Roy Hodgson is relishing the chance to come up against Arsenal's Unai Emery when the two teams meet again in the English Premier match on Sunday.

Hodgson praised Emery for the work he has done since arriving the club following the departure of Arsene Wenger, saying he has 'perfectly fitted' into his 'big' shoes.

"I commend him because he took on a very difficult job, to take over after someone like Arsene Wenger, who had been such an incredible figure and achieved such fantastic things at the club, for such a long period of time," Hodgson said during his pre-match press conference.

Emery registered his 32nd win on Thursday night as his team saw off Napoli 1-0 in Naples, giving him the best win ratio in the history of the club's managers.

"I think he must be very, very pleased with the way things have gone there for him, he has been able to step into those shoes, he has been able to mould a team, play the football that I guess he wants his team to play and it has been very successful football."

Arsenal will be hoping to pick three points, which will be crucial in their push for a top-four finish.

They currently lie third on the log with 66 points, same as Chelsea but with a match at hand over the West-London side.
