Nine players Burnley should consider in the transfer market

As the 2018/19 football season wraps up, thoughts will already be on preparations for next year's Premier League campaign stars from Atletico Madrid, Porto and Lyon available.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche will likely dip into the transfer as he will need to bolster his quite and produce a better campaign than the current.

Here are the nine players The Clarets should consider in the transfer market.

Yacine Brahimi | FW | Porto

The 29-year-old Algeria international winger boasts 36 goals in 139 games for Porto and has played in the Champions League.

Diego Godin | DF | Atletico Madrid

This signing might be highly unlikely... that being said, the 33-year-old Uruguayan defensive stalwart is set to be a free agent this summer and has experience playing at the top-level against the world's best attackers.

Max Kruse | FW | Werder Bremen

Werder Bremen's captain's deal is set to expire in the summer prompting interest from a host of Premier League and European clubs. With 14 appearances for Germany, Kruse, 31, could certainly do a job.

Filipe Luis | DF | Atletico Madrid

The defender could certainly still do a job for Burnley in the Premier League - wages may be a stumbling block, however.

Mario Balotelli | FW | Marseille

The controversial former Manchester City and Liverpool striker's contract is up in the summer after scoring eight goals in 12 Ligue 1 matches this season.

Rafael da Silva | DF | Lyon

The ex-Manchester United right-back has three Premier League winners medals to his name and has reached the Champions League final twice.

lan Dzagoev | MF | CSKA Moscow

Dzagoev has been at CSKA Moscow since 2008 amassing 52 goals in 237 appearances and has also netted nine times in 59 caps form his native Russia.

Hatem Ben Arfa | MF | Rennes

Ben Arfa inspired Rennes to a historic French Cup victory over Neymar's Paris Saint-Germain this season and used to play for Newcastle - could a return be on the cards?

Hector Herrera | MF | Porto

A 29-year-old Mexican midfielder with 70 international caps, Herrera would certainly bring experience and dynamism to Rafa's squad - but could the Porto man cut it in the Premier League as it as a whole different ball game.
