Manchester City board member Alberto Galassi has called links between Pep Guardiola and Juventus 'unfounded rumors'.
Guardiola has been linked with a move to Italy with reports suggesting the City boss will replace Massimiliano Allegri who is set to leave the club in the summer. However, Galassi has revealed Guardiola will not be leaving the Premier League champions.
Speaking to Sky Italy, Galassi said, “I want to clarify what has been reported in the last few days and confirm what Guardiola said last week during the press conference.”
“He wants to stay at Manchester City. Besides, a Club like Juventus would not have allowed such news to come out like this.
“Man City could not have been left out without knowing and been advised. This rumor is unfounded. It is unbelievable that the media pursue these kinds of rumors. This is ridiculous. Guardiola wants to stay."
Guardiola, who won a historic domestic treble with the Citizens became the first manager to retain the league in Spain, Germany, and England.
