With many Arsenal fans calling for his exit after an error-laden season, Shkodran Mustafi has played down speculations linking him with a move away from the Emirates.
Mustafi has once again struggled for consistency which was highlighted by a poor showing in the 3-2 home defeat by Crystal Palace last month in which he was at fault for all three goals. Mustafi has also been deployed in the right-back role with injuries to Hector Bellerin and Ainsley Maitland-Niles but that has not eased up his struggles this season.
In an interview with German news outlet the Kicker, Mustafi watered down the rumors that he could be on his way out of Arsenal at the end of the season, "It is odd that there are always transfer speculations. I am an Arsenal player and have a contract until 2021."
The Gunners have been linked with moves for AS Roma's Kostas Manolas, Saint-Etienne's William Saliba and Barcelona's Samuel Umtiti among other central defenders should Mustafi leave.
