Lukaku gives clearest indication yet he's ready to quit Manchester United
Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has given yet another clear indication that he might be ready to leave Old Trafford this coming season.
The former Chelsea and Everton striker has fallen down the pecking order at United and is said to be angling for a move after learning that he might not regain his starting role at the club.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is understood to be ready to build his team around Marcus Rashford, with Lukaku playing the supporting role.
Speaking after helping Belgium to a 3-0 win over Scotland in the Euro qualifiers, Lukaku hinted that he will have 'a busy summer'.
“I am going to enjoy my holidays with my family now. I know what I’ll do but won’t say it. We’ll see. Do I expect a busy summer? Yes," he said as quoted by the Evening Standard.
“I’ve had a difficult season at club level. I lost my place and haven’t played much. But that is a phase in my career and it will help me for the next step," he added.
The Belgian is said to be attracting interest from Inter Milan, with new manager Antonio Conte keen to give him the exit route.
The Italian wanted to buy the striker for Chelsea two years ago, only for Manchester United to snap him up for £75m.
