Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is ready to sign a new deal at the club, but only if he will be assured of regular starts.
The Englishman, who is currently sidelined with an Achilles injury, was the subject of four separate bids from Bayern Munich in January, and the German giants are thought to still be interested in his signature this summer.
The youth academy product has however given the club some hope that he might stay after all but wants to be assured of his role at the club.
His talent and capabilities were on show for all to see in the second half of the season, having started on several occasions in the Europa League and even league matches.
According to the Sun, Odoi only wants an assurance that he will be part of the first-team squad next season before signing the deal.
The club is said to be willing to hand him the number 10 jersey vacated by Madrid-bound Eden Hazard as one way of convincing him to stay.
The uncertainity surrounding manager Maurizio Sarris' future at the club is said to have played a major role in the youngster not signing the deal yet, as he wants to first have a conversation with the manager before making a decision.
Sarri has been linked with a move away from the club, with Juventus said to be interested in taking him to Italy.
