Ahead of the new season, Arsenal have been handed a major injury blow with Hector Bellerin set to miss the start of the new campaign due to knee injury concerns.
The Spaniard underwent an operation on the anterior cruciate ligaments in his left knee in January after suffering the injury against Chelsea. The right-back was set to be on the sidelines for ‘six to nine months’ but according to Evening Standard, Bellerin will not return in time to feature in pre-season.
In a bid to avoid a reoccurrence of the injury, the north London side will not rush the 24-year old back too soon. In March, Bellerin himself revealed a setback in his rehabilitation, describing the pain he had been going through to supporters via a video on his official YouTube channel.
