Musona admits personal mistake but is ready for Uganda

Zimbabwe Warriors captain and talisman Knowledge Musona believes the team has entered a good space to complete the job against Uganda.

Zimbabwe are set for their second AFCON 2019 Group A game against Uganda tomorrow evening after losing 1-0 to Egypt last Friday.

“We are ready for Uganda. We got some few days to prepare and correct the mistakes we made. It’s looking good, and I hope we will be able to rectify those mistakes, and take the positives and improve on them,” Musona told Soccer24.

The Anderlecht forward went on to concede that the loss to Egypt came through after an error he had committed leading up to the winning goal.

“We are looking forward to the game and will try to do our best to collect maximum points. If you look at that game, it was a mistake I made. But overall, the defence played well, the midfield played well and also the attack, but we need to improve in the final third because we need more action,” added Musona.

Wednesday’s game will get underway at 19:00 from the Cairo International Stadium. The last time the two sides met was a 2-0 win for Zimbabwe in 2016.
