Musona comments on Chiefs return, says his price is high

Knowledge Musona has commented on the growing talks of him returning to South Africa to rejoin Kaizer Chiefs.

Last week Musona somewhat rose the hopes of many Chiefs fans by slamming his Belgian side Anderlecht before also reportedly requesting a transfer.

The Zimbabwe captain has fully engaged in the reports rather than shunting the obvious like most players would do in his position.

"Of course. There will always be speculation around transfer windows‚" Musona told Times Live from Egypt.

"I don't know what to say. But at the moment I'm here‚ and I have a contract with my team. As soon as I finish I will go back to training‚ and we will see what happens."

The player known as the ‘Smiling Assassin’ went on to say that he knows that he is love in Mzansi, but added that buying him out of his existing contract with Anderlecht will be a big financial ask.

"Ja‚ they love me there in South Africa. When the time is right‚ I will go [back]. South Africa is my home‚ so not only one [club]‚ but the whole country. I can go anywhere."

Musona is still fully engaged on AFCON 2019 with the Warriors.

"I don't know if there are any teams from South Africa who are able to buy me out of that contract. It's going to be difficult‚ I think.”

Asked if he has European preference over the Absa Premiership, Musona said the location is not the most important factor... what is key is how he will be received and treated.

“A great move‚ a good team‚ where I can play football and enjoy. I don't know. But I just want to go where I'm being appreciated - where I'm being loved,” concluded Musona.
