Bafana’s predicted line up for Egypt

South Africa’s Bafana Bafana face Egypt in a last 16 AFCON clash tomorrow evening, Futaa takes a shot at the line up…

Stuart Baxter’s side has not done superbly so far with two losses and a slim win over minnows Namibia. Baxter’s heavy rotation makes it all the more tricky to predict the line up for Egypt. We’ve seen changes in goalkeeping, central midfield and the front four.

Dean Furman has fully recovered from an injury strain against Namibia, while the likes of Kamohelo Mokojotjo, Bongani Zungu, and Hlompo Kekana have all not run fully grabbed the central midfield starting position.

With Themba Zwane suspended, there has been high pressure on the coach to field Orlando Pirates star Thembinkosi Lorch - especially when one considers the underwhelming influence the likes of Thulani Serero, Lebohang Maboe, and Sibusiso Vilkazi and Lebohang Mothiba have offer - perhaps Baxter will try a different formation without a target man...

Here’s our predicted line up:

Ronwen Williams, Thamsanqa Mkhize, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Buhle Mkhwanazi, Dean Furman, Hlompho Kekana, Percy Tau, Thembinkosi Lorch, Thulani Serero, Sibusiso Vilakazi.

Kick off for the game has been set for 21:00.
