Klopp hints at a quiet summer transfer for Liverpool
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has hinted that they might not have a busy transfer summer and does not anticipate major player sales from the club.
Despite being linked with a number of players, Liverpool have been overly quiet in the current window, with their only addition being Dutch defender Sepp Van Den Berg.
Klopp has further indicated that the return of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from injury will be like a new signing, and will give a chance to many of the club's youngsters.
"Rhian Brewster, (Alex) Oxlade-Chamberlain didn't play last year, all the young boys didn't play for us last year," said Klopp.
"The transfer market is open. We will see what we do, but I don't think it will be the biggest transfer window of all time," he added.
The Reds made a number of signings last season, bringing in Brazil duo Alisson and Fabinho along with Naby Keita, who were instrumental as the team won the Champions League title and finished second in the English Premier League.
The team is currently preparing for next season and kicked off their campaign with a 6-0 win over Tranmere on Thursday.
