Khama Billiat’s agent Michael Ngobeni has echoed the club’s statement that his client is staying put at Naturena.
In addition to the club’s response, the player’s agent Ngobeni felt it necessary for him to also stress that Billiat’s future firmly lays in Soweto - while also confirming a recent injury.
“Khama is carrying a slight knock from the Soweto Derby match against Orlando Pirates. He is still at Chiefs and is their player. It is not a very bad injury and he should be back on the field soon,” said Ngobeni to Soccer Laduma.
Ngobeni went as far as stating that Sundowns never approached him as any club does when working to acquire a given player’s services.
“He is going to be back on the field for Chiefs and he is not going anywhere. Khama will be playing for Chiefs again this season and he is going nowhere. Sundowns never called me to discuss a move for Khama to the club,” Ngobeni concluded.
Meanwhile, Chiefs’ failure to qualify for the MTN8 means the club will be inactive this weekend and only return to action at home to SuperSport United on Saturday 24 August.
